The Barbie Twilight Dolls – About The Edward and Bella Dolls

Saturday, July 10th, 2010

Twilight Barbie dolls are proving to be all the rage with fans of the Twilight novels by Stephenie Meyer and the many fans of the movie adaptations. The thought of movie and television connected Barbie dolls is not a new one, with the X-Files and The Lord Of The Rings for example having official Barbie dolls created of their well-known characters, and there have been others besides those too.

At this time, with the introduction of 2 Barbie style dolls based on the well-known couple from Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn (as well as Midnight Sun, the alternate version of the ‘Twilight’ novel), fans are able to add 2 more versions of their favourite human and vampire couple to their shelves.

Collectors could want to keep these Twilight Barbie dolls in their movie-themed boxes, however the actual pleasure of the dolls is taking them out, posing them and enjoying them to their utmost rather than leaving them by them selves in their packaging. Each of the dolls arrives dressed in a great material costume closely based on the apparel used on the characters in the films, and they appear nice, however some devotees could want to flag up the issue of how much they give the impression of being just like the actors themselves.

While both the Edward Cullen and Bella Swan Barbie dolls have faces that have been altered from the usual Barbie and Ken moulds, they do not resemble the celebrities too much. Thankfully, with the hair and the costumes, they give the impression of being spot on, however their facial features come across as a bit too stylized to look simply like the film stars they’re based upon.

Having said that, these Twilight Barbie Dolls are bound to make any enthusiast of the saga sparkle with joy, and they provide one thing a touch more glamorous than simply action figures. The Twilight Barbie Dolls, while not perfect, are a pretty good idea for fans of Twilight this Christmas.

New Moon – The Movie, Mania And Movie Collectibles

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

New Moon, the second in the line of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Saga to arrive on the massive screen, has had something of a bumpy ride getting here. Initial up there was the problem of Edward Cullen, played in the flicks by heart-throb Robert Pattinson, and also the restricted quantity of time he’s actually within the second book, and then there was the problem of the lawsuit filed by an old faculty room-mate of Meyer’s, who claimed alleged plagiarism against the author of Twilight.

The cast and crew carried on though, and the end result of their labours has quickly become an enormously big hit everywhere around the world. Edward is seen during the show in a way that may appear a little cheesy, however then, this can be the Twilight series, and cheese is no stranger to it. That said, the show has been obtaining a lot of higher reviews than the first movie in the range, that was panned by many critics and condemned for some of the rather embarrassing facets of the connection concerning a teenage girl and a century-old vampire.

It would appear that the makers of the Twilight films across at Summit listened to the practical evaluation of some reviews (and ignored the outbursts of people who hated it) and have created a much stronger show now round. Their efforts have born fruit, and predictions of the show being a huge hit have been demonstrated to be genuine. Fans have been rushing to work out it, and also the New Moon merchandise arena is full ofnew items for fans to gather.

The line of New Moon merchandise appears a very little classier than what has gone before for franchises such as Harry Potter, because the books that each one of this stems from are aimed toward a totally different demographic; namely kids in their early to mid teens, rather than kids upwards. This can be why some aspects of the merchandising, such as the Twilight and New Moon replica jewelry, is proving to be such a sturdy seller.

It’s also interesting that alternative New Moon merchandise items like posters, calendars, bookmarks and others of their type are so widespread with devotees, together with special editions of the books themselves, as this can be rather totally different to the method that things sometimes accompany show merchandise.

The special editions of the Twilight novels are actually seen as collector’s items to many devotees, with these Twilight special editions remaining untouched on shelves or still in packaging whereas their well-thumbed paperback editions are frequently enjoyed. The audience is thrilled with the most recent show, even though many critics are once more pulling it apart. That’s an indication of something with a terribly sturdy fanbase indeed, and it can certainly continue when ‘Eclipse’, the third Twilight show in the line, gets here.
