Footwear For Boys And Girls
Wednesday, January 25th, 2012Just about anybody that has kids understands the importance of keeping their kids toes dry and warm. Kids tend to dismiss particular warning signs such as soaked feet whenever they are preoccupied with other recreation while outside. Therefore, it’s important to have something warm for their feet that can be trusted. A few weeks ago, my youngster came in out of the snow right after a couple hours of play, I took his boots off and discovered that one of his socks was completely soaked and freezing cold.
When I asked him why he didn’t come inside and let me know that his foot was freezing cold, he explained to me that he had been in the middle of creating a snow fort and just didn’t want to quit. Being a kid once personally I understand what he meant and couldn’t blame him, although my mother made us kids put on bread bags over our feet inside of our boots to keep them watertight, and this would do the job, however there has to be a better method. I usually purchase a couple of bargain boots off of the wholesale shelf at our nearby “all in one” retailer, yet they just don’t appear to last. This looks as if the best choice as he will outgrow the shoe by the next season anyways.
But having worn a pair of Muck Boots personally and learning how well these are made and just how comfortable they are, I opted to buy the kid’s Muck Boots for him this year, even if I have to purchase a brand new pair every year, I just now feel better understanding that he has the proper boots on his feet. He won’t let me know when his feet are cold, despite the fact that he should, that way, at least, he doesn’t always have to, I am aware his feet will likely be fine. Maybe some day my son will take his own kid’s boots off from their feet and realize how unpleasant that should have been for him when he was a kid.
