There are Doctor Who toys and collectibles merchandise on the market almost so long as there are adventures for The Doctor. Over the yearsthere are some really classic memorable Doctor Who toys and merchandise, such as the famous 1960s Dalek costumes for youngsters, and some that haven’t been so great (the Dapol figures could return to mind). Thankfully, with the sustained massive popularity of Doctor Who toys, merchandise and DVDs, the franchise looks well set to be on the market for a fantastic long period yet.

Well this is great. I’ve personally appreciated Doctor Who for around 20 years, and was thrilled when it returned to our television screens back in 2005. Sure, there are some less than stellar episodes since it returned, however these are fortunately few. Christopher Eccleston’s 9th Doctor brought the television series back in style, however it was the appearance of David Tennant’s tenth Doctor that really saw the series begin as a global event.

It is bigger at this point than it ever was throughout the first 1963-1989 run, and since it came back it’s brought together some of the finest talent the British Small screen and movie business has to offer, both in front of and behind the camera. The series of Doctor Who toys at this point on the market is large and wide and splendidly thrilling for fans young and previous, who have a massive alternative of games, toys, posters, statues and more to add to their Doctor Who collection.

And, at this point that the time of the eleventh Doctor is ready to start, ushering in Matt Smith in the lead role as our heroic Time Lord, everything can alter and a whole novel series of Doctor Who merchandise can be unveiled, with the new logo, the new version of the Doctor, his new companion, the new version of the TARDIS and a new rogue’s gallery of villains and monsters!

The return of Doctor Who took previous fans by surprise, however it was the sheer extent of its popularity that has surprised everyone even more. At the moment there are Doctor Who toys, merchandise and collectibles on the market at all great stores and on all of the top sites on the web, and therefore the series can carry on growing and changing. Simply just like the Doctor , Doctor Who toys and merchandise keeps on coming back!
